The Hearts Type

Holistic thinkers that look for patterns

The Heart social-type, is the sort of person who sees themselves as reading between the lines, uniting opposites and combining principles.

If your dominant social-type is a Heart, you will tend to love taking diversions and intellectual tangents, as well as thinking about related facts. However, anytime the facts are unconnected, boredom and frustration results.

Other key qualities that Hearts have in common is that they:

  • Have amazing bodily intuition (Hearts can feel physical sensations, like 'gut feelings', to quickly pattern-match meanings behind complex scenarios).
  • Have excellent tolerance for ambiguity (Hearts can change their minds easily and quickly).
  • Seek intimate attachment with others (Hearts are driven by the need to be caring, authentic and personal).
  • Need connection with others (Hearts are constantly engaging for more connection, with cooperation and harmony being core values in those connections).
  • Try to remove differences of rank (Hearts will attempt to build a more uniform social consensus, so that they, and others feel more comfortable and supported).
  • Are concerned with negotiating win-win solutions (Hearts ultimately want to be liked, so they use a large array of social skills to ensure that they are).

The dominant attraction chemistry of a Heart, is the sex chemical Estrogen. This is the 'imagination, intuition and synthesizing' chemical of the brain. We all have it - in varying quantities - but Hearts have a lot of it! It means they will always be arriving at inspired conclusions, based on conceptual thinking, without needing to examine all of the in-between steps.

The high levels of the sex chemical Estrogen, means that Hearts have a natural ability to generalize and synthesize information as they interact with others. So when Hearts socialize, they tend to naturally reflect on the broader meaning of any information they come across.
