Quiz Results

Your specific answers to quiz questions are NOT shared with third-parties.

Detailed quiz responses are routinely deleted, primarily to save storage space, as it is practical for us to do so. Unless asked to otherwise, we may retain your social type outcome, your name and email address. So we can offer further services to you.

We will act to comply with the legal requirements in Australia for data storage (see also below "What rights you have over your data").

We will comply with any request for deletion that comes from the same email address nominated when taking the quiz, provided it is legal for us to do so.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with

Emails to and from us may pass through the internet unencrypted, and so be readable by third parties. We aim to provide minimal personally identifiable information in those emails.

While we do not directly on-sell your email address to third parties, if you choose to purchase a ticket to our events, through the ticketing portal on our website, you will be entering information into their ticketing website. They will ask for your email address and at least a first name. The email address you supply to them, in that purchase, may end up in their marketing database. We have knowingly chosen to use such a ticketing portal, because they also happen to do an amazing job of marketing our events to wider audiences. It is a trade off, for sure. But we hope, as a result, you get to meet lots of interesting people at our events. We've thought about that long and hard. And we believe its probably worth it in the long run. We hope you agree.

Our email-promotions are done from platforms we have direct data-control over, NOT third-party mailing applications. This reduces your exposure to third-party emailing lists.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. All other data that is non-essential, we will probably delete over time. When we get around to it.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have provided data to us that we have stored in some way, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
